Our family

This is my family...

We are a lovable, fun bunch who can at times get on each others nerves but for the most part, love each other to bits.

And this is the house we have been living in for the last 10 years...

I love old houses. They look and smell different to new, unlived in houses (sometimes not always in a good way, oh sewerage pipe, how I hate thee!).

From the quaint cherry tree growing in middle of the deck and the classic French doors, I fell in love the moment I saw it, but it took my husband a little longer to warm to its charm.

It shares most of our family history - our firstborn was nearly two years old when we moved in, and it saw the birth of our second son nearly six years later. Our sons have the beautiful privilege of having their grandmother live in the same house, and I have to say, it has made the house even more homely, especially when Ma bakes and cooks up everyone's favourite things...noms!

But here we are, ten years down the road, and desperately in need of more space for growing children and their toys and books, a three cat family and a desperately needed separate bath and toilet so I can start enjoying candlelit baths again.

Welcome to our journey!

may your walls
know joy;
may each room,
hold laughter
and may every window
open to great possibility
